WaveStack is free to use for making, editing, playing and exporting wavetables. WaveStack Pro adds a few larger features on top. While WaveStack is in preview, Pro is free on the Mac and Windows: everything is switched on.

Controls for Pro features carry a Pro badge. If you reach for one without Pro, a prompt explains what it is and what Pro includes.
What stays free
- Making, editing, playing and exporting tables, including every export target.
- Opening, playing and exporting existing 3D volumes, such as a wt3d file someone shares with you.
- Everything you’ve made. Tables you made with Pro keep working without it.
On the Mac and Windows
During the preview, Pro is on for everyone. Settings › WaveStack Pro shows “Free during the preview”.
When sales open, WaveStack Pro will be a one-time purchase, with a 14-day free trial that starts the first time you run a version that has licensing switched on. Settings shows the days left. A license covers every 1.x update on up to three of your computers.
Entering a license
After you buy, you’ll get an email with your license key and a .wslicense file. Open Settings › WaveStack Pro › Enter license (or Enter license in the Pro prompt), then either:
- paste the key, which starts with
WSPRO-, and choose Activate, or - choose Open license file and pick the
.wslicensefile.
The license is checked on your computer. There’s no account, no activation server and no internet connection needed. Once it’s in, Settings shows who it’s licensed to. Remove license takes it off a computer, for example before you move to a new one, and you can enter it again any time.
On the iPad
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that covers every 1.x update on all your iPads, and unlocks the AUv3 plugin too. Buy it from Settings › WaveStack Pro › Unlock Pro, or from the Pro prompt. If a family member’s purchase needs approval (Ask to Buy), Pro unlocks as soon as it’s approved.
On a new iPad, or after reinstalling, use Restore in Settings or Restore purchase in the Pro prompt. There’s no license key or trial on the iPad, and a desktop license doesn’t unlock the iPad app.
