Routing
The Routing tab lists your sources. Each tap has a meter and a menu. Use the menu to pick which outputs the tap sends to. You can pick more than one. If a tap sends to several outputs, the menu shows how many, such as Out (4).
When you send a tap to an output, the output turns on.
In a new patch, each source’s first tap goes to its own output. Source 1 goes to Out 1, source 2 to Out 2, and so on.
Outputs
A patch can have up to 64 outputs. The outputs in use are listed along the bottom of the Routing tab. Click one to edit it. Click + Output to add one.
Sends
Choose what the output sends:
- The taps routed to it. This is the default. If several taps go to one output, they’re added together.
- A clock, at 24 or 48 pulses per quarter note, or once per sixteenth, eighth, quarter, half note or bar.
- Run, which is high while the clock is running.
- Reset, a short pulse when the clock starts and when you press Restart.
Goes to
Choose where the output goes:
- MIDI CC. Set the CC number and MIDI channel. Under More, you can turn on 14-bit for smoother changes on synths that support it (CCs 0 to 31 only).
- CV. Pick a jack and a voltage range, such as ±5 V or 0 to 10 V. You can also quantize the voltage to a scale, at 1 volt per octave. Pick the scale and the root note. 0 V is a C.
- Gate. Pick a jack. The gate is high when the value is over the threshold. On the interface’s own outputs, you can set the gate voltage under More.
Under More, you can also set how the routed taps fill the range, and add an offset.
